My name is Liron Primor, a learning disability evaluation and remediation specialist. I have a B.A. in Psychology and Comparative Literature from Tel Aviv University, and M.A in Learning Disability evaluation and remediation from Haifa University. In my thesis (supervised by Tami Katzir, Ph.d), I studied factors that predict reading comprehension of narrative versus expository texts, among different profiles of readers. Later, the study was presented in the conference of the Israeli Association for Literacy ("Script", Haifa, 2008).

I have worked in several learning disability evaluation and tutoring centers in Tel Aviv and Haifa. As a tutor, I taught reading, writing, learning strategies, reading comprehension, arithmetic and English. The work included teaching students, counseling parents and visiting the students' schools in order to observe them in class and meet with their teachers. I also performed learning disability evaluations for students in elementary school and high school. In addition, I worked as a coordinator for learning disability evaluation and remediation in a high school for underprivileged students. Many of the students were not fluent Hebrew speakers since they were immigrants or belonged to different ethnic minorities. In addition, their SES was low and a majority of them came from broken houses whose families were supported by social services. This job included tutoring the students, providing academic modifications, recommending evaluations when needed, and guiding the teachers about teaching learning disabled students.

These experiences, although challenging, have been immensely rewarding and have added to my understanding of this field, which I am now happy to share with you through this website. This website contains pertinent information regarding the process of evaluating and remedying learning disabilities, in order to assist parents of learning disabled children. I hope you find this site useful. Feel free to leave any feedback and/or comments. I will gladly answer any of your questions!
